Usher in the Year of Rabbit!

Chinese New Year is just 3 days away...Most of the people in Malaysia have already started their holiday...Yet Singapore being a highly productive country never allow such a long holiday for any festival..So I have to stay here for another 2 days before I can GO HOME...
This Chinese New Year is a little bit different from the previous years..
1 of the most apparent 1 would be the weather...
Normally the weather would be extremely hot as the Chinese New Year draws near..But this year it has been a 360 degrees change..It has been raining non-stop..Some of the places in Malaysia even flooded..I am wondering this time is Orchard Road going to flood again ..
If this rain never ends,I am sure the business for the markets will be seriously affected..especially those in Chinatown..

Normally during this last weekend before the Chinese New Year, the markets will be abuzz with people buying things for preparations..This sudden rain will definitely make a great impact on those grocers..
However this rain will not ruin our spirit to celebrate Chinese New Year..
Let's sweep away all the ill-fortune and make way for good incoming luck!
Happy Chinese New Year!
兔年快乐!

Count down 10 days...

We tend to count down at least once or twice or more every year..
Count down for the new year..
Count down for the National Day..
Count down for our very own or loved one's birthday..
Count down for the anniversary..
Or even count down for the HOLIDAY TO COME ( this is what we students do almost invariably)..hehe
Same goes to me...
I am now counting down for the CHINESE NEW YEAR to come!!!
It's only 10 days away..
It's really fast..sometimes when I open my eyes and stare at the calendar,I will be wondering " Har??How come so fast?"
These few weeks of study were among the busiest week I had in my NYP life..
Projects~
Assignments~
Presentation~
Activities~
Camp~
I barely find time to work out..I've not been exercising for more than 2 weeks..
I can't even find time to buy myself new clothes...
I could still remember when I was still a naive child.. When the CNY is only 10 days away,I will be so over the moon..The only thing which I needed to think of was how to enjoy my CNY...There wasn't homeworks or projects for me to worry of...
And I could enjoy a long break for my CNY...This year I have only 5 days break(Thanks God the 3rd and 4th day of CNY fall on weekend,or else I have only 2 days break!)
Haiz...enough for all the emo!!
No matter how long or short my CNY break is,I will always go back my hometown to celebrate with family...
1st of Feb is very near..
10 DAYS................

16012011

My past few days had been filled with the fun-filled Nexus Camp..
It was the 4th camp i attended in my NYP life..
Just like the previous camp i attended,it's more to bonding, having fun and of cause learn through the fun..
Through this camp, or I would say through all the camps that I've attended, I really did learn a lot of things..A camp is not just about playing games, winning or losing is never a matter to me. A camp, other than just games, comprises of many other activities, the best example would be performances. Through joining all the camps that I learn to think, not just for me,but all group members ; Through these camps that I learn to dance,to perform----dancing and performances were always my weakness..although I'm sucks in it,I got the chance to learn and sharpen my skill. ;Besides, through these camps that I also learn to bear with the fatigue and goes beyond the limit.
Nexus which stands for NEXt--US...Next are US!!
It's true!! Up next will be our time..our time to shine...Be Ready and Let's go beyond the horizon!! =)

Does hard work really pays off?

I'm sure we've all been told this before at least once in our lives. "Work hard and you will achieve what you've set out to do!" Is it really that simple though?

I think it's not necessary so. Sometimes we've put in a lot of effort in doing something yet the outcome isn't what we expected it to be. It will be very disappointing and we might tend to give up.
My life experience tells me that to achieve my goal,I not only need hard work. There are lots of perspectives that will affect the result. People often say, to succeed, you need 90% of perspiration. So by putting in hard work, you can only have 90% probability to achieve what you've set. The remaining 10% can make a huge difference on the result. Sometimes when you are unlucky the 10% can make you fail. Mentioning about luck,we can't deny that luck can affect us in many ways. Some people can be so lucky that they just put in a little effort and with luck,he/she might do better than the other one who sweat and work like hell .
When this happens, one might lose hope, despair, give in ,give up and everything gone.
Although it may even seem like nothing has gone your way no matter how hard you have tried. But, keep at it long enough, show consistency and dedication, some patience, and the never-say-die attitude to keep going no matter how bad it might seem - and you've got yourself the chance to succeed no matter what you're trying to accomplish.
By securing a chance for yourself, there will be chance for you to stand up and fight again!
